READ ME FIRST: How does this work, exactly?

We're camping out together! Instead of a hotel, stay with us for the weekend at Camp Wasewagan in Angelus Oaks, CA. Enjoy a weekend full of fun for one all-inclusive (and VERY affordable) cost! Every stay option (see below) at the camp includes accommodations (top bunk or bottom bunk?), all meals during your stay (the Wedding Dinner is on us...), and all camp-run activities, including pool time, archery, crafts, mountain biking...and more!

Select the option that works best for you below, then follow the link to pay.
(Why does the Square site say "Practical DEI" when I click to buy my camp weekend accommodations? Because this is Sarah's consulting business, and was the best "storefront" to use for managing these bookings...we're just doing our best here...)

Camp Bunkhouses

Top bunk or bottom bunk? Actually, there are enough for you to have both!

The group cabins at Camp Wasewagan are cozy, clean, spacious, and have electricity. Fans and heaters will be available for comfort over the weekend. Some cabins have bathrooms and showers included, others are a very short walk to a well-lit bathhouse. We'll assign cabins once we receive RSVPs-- if you have any special requests (including other guests you'd like to bunk with) please let us know on the RSVP page and we will do our best to accommodate!

We know it can be intimidating to bunk with people you don't know...but that's also where the fun starts! Lean into this experience with us, we promise you'll come away with at least a cool story for those awkward small talk moments in your Zoom meetings the following week...

RV

If you want more privacy without sacrificing closeness, there is plenty of space to park your own vehicle.
Please note, though, that there are no hook-ups.

If choosing this option, the cost is the same as the overnight accommodations above--please pick the stay that works best for you and pay using the accompanying link.

Angelus Oaks

Though it's our wish that we are all together on property for the weekend, we also want everyone to feel comfortable and at their best, so if that means a hotel or airbnb, the nearest options (about a 20 minute drive from camp) are in Angelus Oaks. If you want to go this route, we recommend booking sooner rather than later, as there are a limited number of options.
AIRBNBS

Big Bear or Redlands

Other, fancier accommodations are available in Big Bear, CA, but it's a 45min-1.5 hour drive on windy mountain roads, so we do NOT recommend that unless you are leaving early and not drinking. Redlands, CA is about 30 minutes down the mountain and offers more standard hotel fare.

TRAVEL

  • The nearest major airport is LAX, which is anywhere from a 2-3 hour drive to camp, depending on traffic.
  • If you are not planning to come to LA first, you might consider flying into the (much smaller) Palm Springs Airport, which is a (much) less trafficky 1.5 hour drive.
  • Another option is flying into John Wayne airport in Orange County: 1.5-2.5 hours, depending on traffic.
  • The closest city to camp (30 minutes down the mountain) is Redlands, CA.
  • We know car rentals are stupid expensive right now and this may all sound really complicated, so please reach out with specifc questions and we'll help you figure it out!
